Over the last 11 years, Clown Shoes Beer has focused on putting our spin on beer styles. We always look for complex flavor profiles and experimentation in ingredients, technique, or interpretation. Whether in our barrel aged beers, our use of fruit purees, or our techniques in using hops, we are always in search of new beers with a full palate of flavors.
Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet, a black IPA, launched our company and started us on this journey. Along the way, we have explored big stouts, DIPAs, and barleywines as well as lighter pale ales, Belgian-style white ales, and kölsch. Our beers have aged in brandy, cognac, bourbon, rye, sherry, rum, whiskey, scotch, and tequila barrels. The one constant has been seeking to always improve what we do and how we do it.
We stand by our motto: To produce beer without pretension while being free and a little crazy.
